App settings
On Mac, open Watchpost’s settings with ⌘,. These settings control the app. To change recording, network or image parameters on a camera, open Device settings instead.
General
Section titled “General”Language offers the system language, English and Russian. A fixed choice applies after Watchpost relaunches. Use Relaunch Now when you are ready to close the current session.
Exports folder is the default destination for recordings you save. Snapshots folder is the destination for saved video frames. Each folder can be chosen or reset to its default. On Mac, the defaults are Movies/Watchpost and Pictures/Watchpost in your home folder. An archive export can still use a different destination chosen in its own form.
Builds distributed directly include update controls. You can enable automatic checks or check manually. A new-build notice opens the download page; store builds use their store’s update process. See Update Watchpost for reminders, eligible versions and update terms.
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”Turn on Notify about device events to allow notification banners, then choose which kinds should produce a banner. Watchpost also needs permission from macOS. If permission was denied, use the settings button to open the system controls.
These switches control banners, not the event history. Events can still appear in the list when their banners are disabled. See Events for supported devices and connection requirements.
Storage
Section titled “Storage”The Storage pane shows encryption status, app lock and the recovery key. It also contains the configuration reset action. Read Storage and app lock before resetting or recovering data.
Plan and license
Section titled “Plan and license”Plan & License appears only when the build uses Watchpost licensing. It shows which features are available, account sign-in, licenses and installations, and the actions for offline activation. Its absence in another build does not mean the pane failed to load.

On phones and tablets
Section titled “On phones and tablets”The Mac settings window is not reproduced as a single mobile window. On iPhone and iPad, open Storage from the Devices tab’s menu. Android also offers a Storage screen from Devices. Account sign-in, archive exports and their destinations use the controls of each mobile app and its operating system.
